Portrait of the Clinical Centre of the "KLINIK BAVARIA" group...
With its seven specialist departments (orthopaedics, internal medicine and cardiology, oncology/haematology, neurology/neuro-oncology, metabolism, diabetes and endocrinology, a centre for paraplegic patients) as well as four functional departments (urology, ophthalmology, nephrology/dialysis and otorhinolaryngology) and the rehabilitation centre for children, youths and young adults in Zscheckwitz, the KLINIK BAVARIA Kreischa is on a level with the bigger rehabilitation clinics in Germany. Patients with the most varied clinical disease characteristics are being treated after an in-patient stay or within the framework of a therapy.
As a specialised centre of medical rehabilitation the KLINIK BAVARIA group is recognised by all the German NHS and private health insurances, the German pensions schemes as well as the German accident insurances, professional trade associations, civil servants’ aid institutions, the military district administration and private payers. With over 1200 employees the KLINIK BAVARIA Kreischa is also the biggest employer in the area of the former "Weißeritz District". The KLINIK BAVARIA group was founded in 1985 by businessman Rudolf Presl and is now operating under private ownership. Competent and personal medical care, even for the terminally ill, with a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, is just another pillar of KLINIK BAVARIA's philosophy. Under the leadership of medical specialists, experienced and highly motivated therapists, dietary assistants, neuro-psychologists, psychologists, social education workers, lifeguards etc. are working in an indication-related way. The purposeful integration of the relatives of those patients who are constantly in need of aid and support is an integral component of the clinic’s mission. Physicians, care staff and therapists of KLINIK BAVARIA are in constant multi-disciplinary exchange with each other. This interaction, the scientific collaboration with regional hospitals and the cooperation with reliable partners from a wide range of different realms is a substantial precondition for rehabilitation at its highest level. For that purpose, the group has established a quality assurance system on behalf of its clients and participates in the quality assurance programme of the German pensions scheme. A special service of the clinical centre is the carefully coordinated system of care ranging from the treatment of multi-morbid and seriously handicapped people to their reintegration into the daily working life at the Medical Centre for Work and Occupation. In this centre, an interdisciplinary team deals with professional issues even during medical rehabilitation. In medical-occupational rehabilitation projects standardised functional high-performance diagnostics are implemented. On this basis, existing functional impairments are treated methodically. In addition to that, an exercise test can be carried out at various work places. Another institution is the Helene-Maier Foundation in Theisewitz, whose purpose it is to assist people with acquired cervical damage in their social and occupational reintegration. Since 1 January 2009 the Specialised Private Hospital Kreischa, with its core competency in the weaning of long-term intensive patients, has been part of the range of services of the clinical centre. It provides the usual laboratory and x-ray diagnostics, the common ultrasonic methods, endoscopy and neurological electrophysiology as well as renal replacement procedures. With a comprehensive catalogue of indications (neurology/neuropaediatrics, haematology, orthopaedics, traumatology and rheumatology, oncology/haematology, cardiology/angiology) the Clinical Centre in Zscheckwitz has been concentrating on the rehabilitation of children, youths and young adults since 1997. The age-dependent capabilities and personal inclinations of every individual patient are at the focus of interest. Along with the infrastructure, also the requirements needed for a longer settling in period and enough scope for play and free time are adapted to the needs of young patients. In the district of "Saxon Switzerland-East Ore Mountains" KLINIK BAVARIA is also known as a company that takes on trainees. In the First European School for Physiotherapy, Ergotherapy and Speech Therapy at the end of a three-year training period certificates as a speech therapist, ergo and physiotherapist can be achieved. These vocational specialist schools are state-recognised. One class per school year is being trained. The Specialist Institute for Intensive Care Klinik Bavaria in the Kreischa District of Gombsen has been in operation since 2004. It is the purpose and task of the institute to provide appropriate and long-lasting medical assistance for those requiring it the most, in particular people in coma vigil. Thus, the needs and the living conditions of each individual person are taken account of and existing resources encouraged. Additional rehabilitation centres of KLINIK BAVARIA group are located in Bavaria: in Freyung and Bad Kissingen. In the departments of orthopaedics, physical and rehabilitative medicine of the Bavaria Clinical Centre Bad Kissingen, patients with the most varied orthopaedic, traumatological and rheumatological problems have been medically assisted since 1988. A high degree of experience and specialist knowledge is put to practical use in the treatment and therapy of intervertebral disc degenerations, other orthopaedic injuries and the post-operational treatment of the hip. In the following years the range of treatments was expanded by the realms of geriatric indications and neurology. The clinical centre is certified according to the standards set by ISO 9001:2008. |
